What problem does this service solve?

XinFin wants to develop a hybrid blockchain that will combine the benefits of a private/permissioned platform with the transparency of a public one.Veritaseum provides blockchain-based software solutions for financial clients. Their network makes it easier for clients to create their own sub-tokens and decentralized applications to interact with capital markets.Harmony's goal is to create a consensus mechanism that will scale for larger networks.

Company Description

XinFin is a blockchain technology company that has developed the XDC protocol. XinFin's hybrid blockchain enables peer-to-peer contracts on a regulated payment infrastructure. Their goal is to create an open source marketplace platform that will reduce inequalities in global finance.
The XDC blockchain is built upon Quorum, a permissioned blockchain developed by J.P. Morgan. Quorum was developed as a layer upon the Go implementation of the
Ethereum protocol. XDC's consensus mechanism allows for new blocks be created in a two-step process. In the first step, the transactions to be included in the new block are voted upon by all participating nodes. In the second step, one node is selected as the leader or block maker randomly. The block maker node then creates the new block.
XInFin is powered by the XDCE token.

Veritaseum develops blockchain-based software solutions for capital markets. Their goal is to decentralize access to these markets, with both centralized and decentralized solutions, for a range of financial institutions. The company assists their clients in building bespoke decentralized applications. Veritaseum's software solutions are built upon their platform, which allows for the creation of Veritas sub-tokens that serve the specific needs of the client.

Harmony is developing an open consensus blockchain platform. Harmony's sharding-based consensus mechanism is designed to scale as the number of nodes increases in the network. Harmony aims to tackle issues related to scalability by optimizing across multiple layers in a way that will enable parallel transaction processing with reduced latency. Harmony is currently powered by the ONE token, which is built on the Binance blockchain.
