What problem does this service solve?

XinFin wants to develop a hybrid blockchain that will combine the benefits of a private/permissioned platform with the transparency of a public one.FLO's blockchain allows users to record short comments or notes to its transactions. The Tendermint consensus algorithm secures transactions in the Cosmos ecosystem.

Company Description

XinFin is a blockchain technology company that has developed the XDC protocol. XinFin's hybrid blockchain enables peer-to-peer contracts on a regulated payment infrastructure. Their goal is to create an open source marketplace platform that will reduce inequalities in global finance.
The XDC blockchain is built upon Quorum, a permissioned blockchain developed by J.P. Morgan. Quorum was developed as a layer upon the Go implementation of the
Ethereum protocol. XDC's consensus mechanism allows for new blocks be created in a two-step process. In the first step, the transactions to be included in the new block are voted upon by all participating nodes. In the second step, one node is selected as the leader or block maker randomly. The block maker node then creates the new block.
XInFin is powered by the XDCE token.

FLO is a Proof-of-Work blockchain with a metadata layer called floData. It enables users to easily record notes to its blocks, and can be used to create DApps. One of FLO's central features is the Open Index Protocol, which standardizes cryptographic ownership on open networks. The founders of FLO are also working on Alexandria; an open-source standard for users to publish and distribute original content. FLO's source code is based on that of Bitcoin and Litecoin. It is designed to enable fast transactions times.

Tendermint is a consensus algorithm that was created by a company called All in Bits. The open source algorithm is Byzantine Fault-Tolerant and uses an authenticated encryption system to secure transactions. The Tendermint consensus mechanism was developed in 2014 for the Cosmos Network. The Interchain Foundation, which is developing the Cosmos Network, continues to employ All in Bits to support Cosmos.
