Company Description

Klaytn Coin is the native currency of the Klaytn blockchain. It was developed by the South Korean internet giant, Kakao and is operated by its subsidiary Ground X. Klaytn Coin is designed to power an enterprise-grade, service-centric platform that brings a user-friendly blockchain experience to its users. It has a hybrid architecture that combines elements of public and private blockchains. Klaytn uses an optimized version of the Istanbul Byzantine Fault Tolerant consensus algorithm. There are three types of nodes, CN (Consensus Node), PN (Proxy Node) and EN (Endpoint Node). CNs are managed by CCOs (Core Cell Operators) and are in charge of block generation. These blocks are verified by all nodes in the network.
It has partnerships with multiple prominent companies, including Binance, which serves on their governance council, and several large South Korean banks and technology companies. The company also plans to integrate with OpenSea's NFT marketplace to allow Klaytn-powered NFTs to be sold more easily.

High Performance Blockchain (HPB) is a Chinese company that is developing an improved blockchain infrastructure. Their goal is to dramatically improve the speed of transactions and throughput of existing blockchain systems. HPB has been called the EOS of China.
Similar to EOS, HPB uses a delegated Proof of Stake (DPoS) consensus algorithm that will enable parallel processing. It will also aid in improving the performance of their blockchain, and they hope that it will enable the creation of an ecosystem for the creation of decentralized applications.
HPB's platform is based on hardware accelerator chip drivers. The accelerator chips can be customized and will aid in the performance of the blockchain. HPB has the ambitious goal of enabling 1 million transactions per second.
The company's founders are well connected in the blockchain and payment sector in China. NEO is one of the chief investors in the company, and they also works with Union Pay; which is an influential payment network that connects banks in China.

Ubiq is an Ethereum fork that aims to create a more stable smart contract platform for building DApps. Ubiq's protocol currently uses a Proof-of-Work (PoW) consensus mechanism, but will switch to Proof-of-Stake in 2019. The network is powered by the UBQ coin.
Ubiq's goal is to create a reliable and stable platform for developing DApps by modifying Ethereum's code base with important changes that will make it more secure and reduce instability. Consensus is based on their Flux Difficulty Algorithm, which is designed to constantly adjust the hash rate to protect against network attacks.
