Company Description

HUSD token is a stablecoin that was created by a Hong Kong based company called Stable Universal. HUSD is backed by US Dollars in a 1:1 ratio that are held in a trust company. The HUSD stablecoin is designed to have a governance structure that will increase security, liquidity, and transparency. Monthly audits of HUSD's reserves are conducted by an independent accounting firm to ensure that the 1:1 backing is maintained.

Single Collateral DAI is a decentralized stablecoin that has collateral to back its value and an interest rate mechanism to stabilize its price. It is designed to be a digital currency with a stable value, that is pegged to the US dollar. (1 SAI=$1) MakerDAO is the decentralized autonomous organization that manages DAI and works to combat its price volatility. MakerDAO hopes to enable more decentralized applications by providing a stable digital currency whose value will not be susceptible to drastic fluctuations. The Maker platform itself, is powered by the MKR token, which is not a stablecoin, and has a volatile price because of its role on the Maker platform. In November of 2019 MakerDAO launched the Multi-Collateral Dai (MCD), which will eventually replace the existing Single-Collateral Dai, and will enable the company to offer a wider range of DeFi services.

nUSD is a stablecoin that is pegged to the UD Dollar. It was created by Havven, a decentralized payment network. nUSD has a dual token mechanism that provides stability. In order to generate nUSD, users must acquire Havven Coin (HAV) and lock it in a smart contract. 80% of their HAV holdings remain in collateral, and 20% of its value is generated in the form of newly minted nUSD. This collateral staking mechanism includes an incentive mechanism that rewards users with a portion of the transaction fees that are collected when nUSD transactions occur on the network. nUSD is currently an Ethereum-based token, but will soon be transferred to EOS.
