What problem does this service solve?

CPChain hopes to use blockchain to create an IoT data platform that will reduce connectivity costs, protect data privacy, and enable the exchange of IoT data.Oyster will use IOTA's tangle to provide decentralized data storage and offer content providers an alternative source of ad revenue.SmartMesh's goal is to be the underlying protocol for the IoT. Devices communicate and make transactions, within the network, without an internet connection.

Company Description

CPChain, which stands for Cyber Physical Chain, is developing a decentralized IoT infrastructure. Their goal is to build a blockchain-based data platform for IoT systems that will use distributed storage, encryption, and decentralized exchanges of value to better connect devices. CPChain will enable IoT-connected devices to connect with each other, and will serve as a decentralized marketplace for IoT related data. Their platform will have a parallel distributed architecture, a hybrid two-layer consensus mechanism, and a side chain consensus protocol. Their network is currently powered by the Ethereum-based CPC token.

Oyster is a blockchain-based platform that is designed to provide both a decentralized file storage solution and an alternative ad revenue system for content distribution. Their network is powered by PRL tokens. Oyster hopes to allow users to store data anonymously and securely on the IOTA Tangle. It uses IOTA’s infrastructure for hosting data stored on the Oyster platform. A data file is broken into chunks, and each of these chunks is encrypted. These encrypted chunks exist as transactions on the IOTA Tangle and are retained on the Tangle.
Oyster's alternative ad revenue platform will use this decentralized data storage network to incentivize users to contribute their devices' computing resources.

SmartMesh is developing a blockchain-based protocol for the Internet of Things. SmartMesh has built-in blockchain light nodes, and extends the Raiden and Lightning Networks' second layer architecture network protocols. SmartMesh's blockchain-based network allows devices to communicate and make transactions without an internet connection. Users establish P2P connections when they are online, and are then able to transact with each other offline. Spectrum and Ozone, which are part of the SmarMesh network, are designed for developing decentralized applications.
The SMT token is used to reward the nodes that contribute computing resources to SmartMesh's network, and are also the medium of exchange for P2P transactions.
