TrueChain vs Flow Blockchain vs NEO
What problem does this service solve?
TrueChain wants to improve blockchain performance with a hybrid consensus model. | Flow's goal is to create a DApp development platform that is easier to use for both developers and users. | NEO allows developers to create digital assets that can be managed with smart contracts. |

Company Description
TrueChain is developing a secure and scalable blockchain platform with a strong developer community. TrueChain hopes to improve upon current platforms with a hybrid consensus protocol called Minerva. This hybrid model will combine a consensus mechanism based on Practical Byzantine Fault Tolerance (pBFT) with a FruitChain-based Proof-of-Work protocol. Fruitchain is designed to minimize the incentives of mining pools by decreasing the variance of mining rewards; making the network more decentralized. | The Flow Blockchain aims to be a developer-friendly blockchain for a new generation of DApps and digital assets that power them. Flow Blockchain is based on a unique, multi-role architecture, and is designed to scale without sharding, so that it can accommodate consumer applications with more users. The project was created by Dapper Labs, which previously created Crypto Kitties, one of the most popular blockchain collectible projects. Flow is now being used by NBA Top Shot, an officially licensed NBA platform for player related, blockchan-based collectibles. The founders: Roham Gharegozlou, Dieter Shirley, and Mikhael Naayem launched Flow with the goal of simplifying the DApp development experience. | NEO, formerly known as AntShares, is one of the leading smart contract enabled blockchain platforms that allows for the development of digital assets. Similar to Ethereum, NEO uses two different tokens: NEO and GAS, each of which have a specific purpose on the network. NEO tokens give holders a share in the ownership of the NEO blockchain, and when they are held in a compatible wallet, they are rewarded with GAS tokens. NEO has a Delegated Byzantine Fault Tolerance (dBFT) consensus algorithm that has uses some features of PoS, and is designed to be more scalable than other consensus mechanisms. |
