TrueChain vs Infura vs Solana Blockchain
What problem does this service solve?
TrueChain wants to improve blockchain performance with a hybrid consensus model. | Infura's developer tools make it easier for DApps to access Ethereum and IPFS. | Solana allows developers to create DApps with faster performance by separating the consensus process from the recording of transactions. |

Company Description
TrueChain is developing a secure and scalable blockchain platform with a strong developer community. TrueChain hopes to improve upon current platforms with a hybrid consensus protocol called Minerva. This hybrid model will combine a consensus mechanism based on Practical Byzantine Fault Tolerance (pBFT) with a FruitChain-based Proof-of-Work protocol. Fruitchain is designed to minimize the incentives of mining pools by decreasing the variance of mining rewards; making the network more decentralized. | Infura is a DApp infrastructure provider that was created by ConsenSys and gives developers the tools to securely access Ethereum and IPFS. Their API enables users to set up Ethereum Nodes, and then install, configure, and maintain the Ethereum infrastructure more easily, and at lower cost. Infura was originally created by ConsenSys. | The Solana blockchain uses an innovative Proof of History mechanism to confirm transactions that are recorded on the network. Solana is designed to separate the consensus process from the flow of transactions. This is done with a recursive, verifiable delay function that hashes incoming transactions, and recording information as a function of time. Every node on the Solana blockchain is assigned a cryptographic clock that enables the network to determine the time and ordering of transactions, without having to wait for consensus from other nodes. By separating the process of transaction verification from their recording, a higher throughput is achieved without sacrificing network security. |
