Company Description
Tendermint is a consensus algorithm that was created by a company called All in Bits. The open source algorithm is Byzantine Fault-Tolerant and uses an authenticated encryption system to secure transactions. The Tendermint consensus mechanism was developed in 2014 for the Cosmos Network. The Interchain Foundation, which is developing the Cosmos Network, continues to employ All in Bits to support Cosmos. | Nxt is a blockchain platform developed by Jelurida, which is also developing the Ardor blockchain. Nxt's goal is to improve upon existing blockchain platforms with a modular toolset that enables users to create their own digital assets that can be listed on decentralized marketplaces. Nxt also features community driven voting mechanisms and has an architecture that separates the blockchain into parent and child blockchains. | FLO is a Proof-of-Work blockchain with a metadata layer called floData. It enables users to easily record notes to its blocks, and can be used to create DApps. One of FLO's central features is the Open Index Protocol, which standardizes cryptographic ownership on open networks. The founders of FLO are also working on Alexandria; an open-source standard for users to publish and distribute original content. FLO's source code is based on that of Bitcoin and Litecoin. It is designed to enable fast transactions times. |
