ProximaX is developing a NEM-based platform with several on-chain and off-chain protocols. At its core, ProximaX is based on the NEM blockchain, and is designed to be an all-in-one platform for developing DApps. The platform has several parallel layers that are intended to provide decentralized storage, messaging, streaming, and content delivery services. The network is powered by the NEM-based XPX token. ProximaX intends on using a hybrid consensus mechanism for validating value transfers on these layers. Consensus will be driven with a combination of Proof-of-Importance (PoI), Proof-of-Storage (PoSt), and Proof-of-Bandwidth (PoB).

Nebulas is an innovative project that aims to be the first blockchain search engine. It has been called the “Google for Blockchains." They want to build a self-evolving blockchain system that is based on incentives and will also provide a development infrastructure. The company developed two concepts to achieve their goal: Rank and Force. Similar to Google's PageRank, Nebulas Rank will be a measure of overall value for blockchains. While Nebulas Force, will be a solution that will support smart contracts, and will be able to adapt to market demands. This will prevent forking from occurring because new technologies can be incorporated and bugs can be fixed without changing the underlying code. The development system will provide all of the essential tools needed to create distributed applications. One of the key components of the platform is the incentive structure that has a Developer Incentive Protocol (DIP) and a Proof of Devotion (PoD) protocol that will reward users with Nebulas tokens to create quality applications. Nebulas was created by Hitters Xu, who is also the founder of NEO, and is an important figure in the Chinese blockchain community.

RSK is an open source smart contract platform that is secured by the Bitcoin network. RSK is designed to add value and increase the functionality of the Bitcoin ecosystem by providing smart contracts that are compatible with the network's code and can be written in Solidity. RSK developed the RIF Token which is intended to enable users to access a range of DApps within their ecosystem. In September 2019, RSK purchased the Spanish social media platform Taringa with the goal of using the RIF token as an incentive to encourage users to share content.
