The OneRoot Network hopes to create a blockchain development platform that will provide a development infrastructure for DApps, and a decentralized exchange. The OneRoot consensus mechanism is based on the concept of co-building. The company's whitepaper and marketing materials are unclear regarding its technical details and project vision.

Lisk is a blockchain-based platform that allows developers to build and publish their own applications. Lisk uses sidechain development kits, that are written in Javascript, to enable users to create their own blockchain applications according to their needs. Each decentralized App runs on its own sidechain that can be customized, and is connected to the Lisk blockchain, which has a Delegated Proof-of-Stake (dPoS) consensus mechanism. The Lisk network is powered by the LSK coin.

The Solana blockchain uses an innovative Proof of History mechanism to confirm transactions that are recorded on the network. Solana is designed to separate the consensus process from the flow of transactions. This is done with a recursive, verifiable delay function that hashes incoming transactions, and recording information as a function of time. Every node on the Solana blockchain is assigned a cryptographic clock that enables the network to determine the time and ordering of transactions, without having to wait for consensus from other nodes. By separating the process of transaction verification from their recording, a higher throughput is achieved without sacrificing network security.
