NEAR Protocol vs High Performance Blockchain vs QLC Chain
What problem does this service solve?
NEAR's goal is to serve as an open source platform that will accelerate the development of decentralized applications | HPB is building an improved blockchain infrastructure based on hardware accelerator chip drivers. It wants to drastically increase the number of transactions that can be processed. | QLC is building a DApp development platform designed to encourage greater decentralization. |

Company Description
NEAR Protocol is a decentralized application platform designed to make DApps operable on the web. The NEAR network uses a Proof of Stake consensus mechanism called Nightshade. The NEAR utility token is used for processing transactions and storing data, as well as for facilitating voting for governance issues. | High Performance Blockchain (HPB) is a Chinese company that is developing an improved blockchain infrastructure. Their goal is to dramatically improve the speed of transactions and throughput of existing blockchain systems. HPB has been called the EOS of China. | QLC Chain, formerly known as QLink, is developing a Network-as-a-Service blokchain platform. It will allow them to provide decentralized network services and serve as a DApp development platform. The QLC network is currently built on NEO but will transition to their own blockchain in the future. The QLC Chain will have a hybrid consensus mechanism called Shannon consensus. It will combine elements of delegated Proof-of-Stake (dPoS) with a regulating mechanism that is designed to encourage participation by more nodes. |
