HYCON vs Tendermint vs TrueChain
What problem does this service solve?
HYCON's DAG/SPECTRE consensus is designed to improve blockchain performance by enabling more than one block to be added to the main chain. | The Tendermint consensus algorithm secures transactions in the Cosmos ecosystem. | TrueChain wants to improve blockchain performance with a hybrid consensus model. |

Company Description
HYCON is a blockchain platform powered by the Hyperconnected Coin. The decentralized platform has a Directed Acyclic Graph (DAG) architecture, and is focused on improving scalability and throughput. HYCON's SPECTRE consensus algorithm is designed to enable horizontal scalability, where several blocks can be added at the same time. \ | Tendermint is a consensus algorithm that was created by a company called All in Bits. The open source algorithm is Byzantine Fault-Tolerant and uses an authenticated encryption system to secure transactions. The Tendermint consensus mechanism was developed in 2014 for the Cosmos Network. The Interchain Foundation, which is developing the Cosmos Network, continues to employ All in Bits to support Cosmos. | TrueChain is developing a secure and scalable blockchain platform with a strong developer community. TrueChain hopes to improve upon current platforms with a hybrid consensus protocol called Minerva. This hybrid model will combine a consensus mechanism based on Practical Byzantine Fault Tolerance (pBFT) with a FruitChain-based Proof-of-Work protocol. Fruitchain is designed to minimize the incentives of mining pools by decreasing the variance of mining rewards; making the network more decentralized. |
