HYCON vs Tendermint vs Matic Network
What problem does this service solve?
HYCON's DAG/SPECTRE consensus is designed to improve blockchain performance by enabling more than one block to be added to the main chain. | The Tendermint consensus algorithm secures transactions in the Cosmos ecosystem. | Matic provides scalability for DApps and smart contracts. |

Company Description
HYCON is a blockchain platform powered by the Hyperconnected Coin. The decentralized platform has a Directed Acyclic Graph (DAG) architecture, and is focused on improving scalability and throughput. HYCON's SPECTRE consensus algorithm is designed to enable horizontal scalability, where several blocks can be added at the same time. \ | Tendermint is a consensus algorithm that was created by a company called All in Bits. The open source algorithm is Byzantine Fault-Tolerant and uses an authenticated encryption system to secure transactions. The Tendermint consensus mechanism was developed in 2014 for the Cosmos Network. The Interchain Foundation, which is developing the Cosmos Network, continues to employ All in Bits to support Cosmos. | The Matic Network is a sidechain based scaling solution for public blockchains. Matic aims to allow developers to better scale their Ethereum DApps by using a version of Plasma, along with side chains that use a PoS consensus mechanism. Matic plans on supporting other blockchains as well in order to facilitate interoperability. |
