What problem does this service solve?

Chromia's relational blockchain structure will allow developers to create DApps with data that can be better indexed and queried, and more easily manipulated.IPFS is a decentralized alternative to HTTP that can be used to make recording blockchain transactions more efficient.ProximaX aims to create a high performance blockchain platform for developers to create DApss with decentralized storage, messaging, streaming, and content delivery services.

Company Description

Chromia is a relational blockchain platform that is designed to be both a blockchain and a relational database. Chromia was created by a Swedish development company called ChromaWay, with the intention of combining the advantages of a blockchain's transparency with the benefits of a relational database system, such as data independence and reduced redundancy.

The Interplanetary File System (IPFS) is a decentralized network protocol for sharing hypermedia in a distributed file system. IPFS can be used to link blockchain transactions This effectively timestamps and secures the content, without having to put the data on the chain itself. Filecoin, an IPFS-based decentralized storage cloud, is closely related with the IPFS protocol, and provides the incentive system.

ProximaX is developing a NEM-based platform with several on-chain and off-chain protocols. At its core, ProximaX is based on the NEM blockchain, and is designed to be an all-in-one platform for developing DApps. The platform has several parallel layers that are intended to provide decentralized storage, messaging, streaming, and content delivery services. The network is powered by the NEM-based XPX token. ProximaX intends on using a hybrid consensus mechanism for validating value transfers on these layers. Consensus will be driven with a combination of Proof-of-Importance (PoI), Proof-of-Storage (PoSt), and Proof-of-Bandwidth (PoB).
