Avalanche Token vs FOAM vs ALQO
What problem does this service solve?
Avalanche's goal is to enable a more secure and interoperable smart contract platform with faster transactions times. | FOAM aims to to bring location data to blockchains and enable consensus driven mapping. | Alqo is building a blockchain-based platform that will serve as an interconnected ecosystem for DApps. |

Company Description
The Avalanche token (AVAX) performs various tasks within Avalanche's Proof of Stake blockchain network. The Avalanche token functions as a rewards and payment system for users. The network is designed to be an open-source platform for launching highly decentralized applications, enterprise deployments, and decentralized financial instruments. The Avalanche ecosystem is meant to be smore scalable and interoperable than other blockchain platforms. Unlike Bitcoin and many other networks, transaction fees are “burnt” in order to increase token scarcity. This process is offset by the release, or “minting,” of new coins. | FOAM is developing a blockchain-based location service protocol for embedding physical locations in Ethereum smart contracts. The FOAM network will use radio beacons and will provide incentives for decentralized location services that will be given by network participants. Users will stake tokens to become zone anchors, that will work with radio beacons to return location data to the network. FOAM's Proof of Location protocol will be used to confirm consensus on the location of objects and entities in space and time. | Alqo is developing an ecosystem of decentralized products and services that will be powered by the Alqo coin (XLQ). Their blockchain-based ecosystem enables instant and anonymous transactions. The XLQ coin is designed to be a multipurpose coin that will be used by all projects in the "Alqo Planetary System." Alqo is currently building Bitfineon (cryptocurrency exchange) and Payinx (payment solution for merchants). They plan on adding more projects (planets) to their ecosystem later. The Alqo network uses a modified Proof-of-Stake (PoS) consensus mechanism and an improved version of Zerocoin for encryption. The Alqo DAO (Decentralized Autonomous Organization) uses a Carbon Voting system to resolve governance issues. |
