Aergo vs Solana Blockchain vs TrueChain
What problem does this service solve?
Aergo's goal is to create a better DApp development platform. | Solana allows developers to create DApps with faster performance by separating the consensus process from the recording of transactions. | TrueChain wants to improve blockchain performance with a hybrid consensus model. |

Company Description
Aergo is developing an SQL based smart contract platform that will allow developers to more easily share data and create DApps. Their platform will combine elements of public and private blockchain architectures and will have a hybrid BFT/dPoS consensus mechanism. The ERGO Hub will serve as a blockchain hosting service that will allow users to test and deploy their own blockchains. Their network is currently powered by the Etherem-based AERGO token. | The Solana blockchain uses an innovative Proof of History mechanism to confirm transactions that are recorded on the network. Solana is designed to separate the consensus process from the flow of transactions. This is done with a recursive, verifiable delay function that hashes incoming transactions, and recording information as a function of time. Every node on the Solana blockchain is assigned a cryptographic clock that enables the network to determine the time and ordering of transactions, without having to wait for consensus from other nodes. By separating the process of transaction verification from their recording, a higher throughput is achieved without sacrificing network security. | TrueChain is developing a secure and scalable blockchain platform with a strong developer community. TrueChain hopes to improve upon current platforms with a hybrid consensus protocol called Minerva. This hybrid model will combine a consensus mechanism based on Practical Byzantine Fault Tolerance (pBFT) with a FruitChain-based Proof-of-Work protocol. Fruitchain is designed to minimize the incentives of mining pools by decreasing the variance of mining rewards; making the network more decentralized. |
