Company Description
NEM is a cryptocurrency and blockchain platform that allows multiple ledgers on the same blockchain. NEM Smart Assets are used to create mosaics for any asset. Transaction fees are paid with NEM's native currency, XEM. NEM originally began as a community-oriented cryptocurrency that was built from the ground up in the Java programming language. | Apollo is developing an all-in-one cryptocurrency platform, based on the APL coin. Apollo was created as a fork of NXT, and has a very ambitious plan to integrate a variety of services under one platform, with a strong focus on privacy. Apollo's blockchain is called Hermes and has a Proof-of-Stake consensus mechanism. Some of the features that Apollo's marketing materials claim they are working on are: private transactions with IP masking, smart contracts, encrypted messaging, file sharing, a decentralized marketplace, voting system for governance, decentralized data storage, and a wallet with a built in exchange. John McAfee, a notable blockchain enthusiast and antivirus pioneer, joined the project in October 2018. | The Amp token is a digital collateral token that is specifically designed to enable the decentralized collateralization of digital asset transactions. It evolved from what was previously known as the Flexacoin network, and is meant to allow the token to better facilitate recent innovations related to borrowing and lending in the DeFi space. The Amp token's supply was created by burning the existing supply of Flexacoins, which were exchanged for the new token at a rate of 1:1. Amp will improve upon Flexacoin’s collateralization features with a new architecture that will allow for the implementation of additional on-chain supply operations and more collateral-related DeFi options. |
