FairCoin is based on an innovative blockchain technology, which has been changed in July 2017 from a 'Proof-of-Stake' protocol to a 'Proof-of-Cooperation' (PoC) mechanism. Our currency not only requires less energy and enables faster transactions, but also introduces a certain level of trust and democratic values even on the technical level. PLATINCOIN is a Proof-of-Stake coin that is minted instead of mined. Users participate in managing the network by renting hardware space from the project organizers for a period of 36 months. These computing resources will drive the PoS consensus, and the users that rent the hardware will be rewarded with newly minted PLC coins.
