Apollo was created as a fork of NXT, and has a very ambitious plan to integrate a variety of services under one platform, with a strong focus on privacy. Apollo's blockchain is called Hermes and has a Proof-of-Stake consensus mechanism. Some of the features that Apollo's marketing materials claim they are working on are: private transactions with IP masking, smart contracts, encrypted messaging, file sharing, a decentralized marketplace, voting system for governance, decentralized data storage, and a wallet with a built in exchange. John McAfee, a notable blockchain enthusiast and antivirus pioneer, joined the project in October 2018.

Nasdacoin is developing a blockchain with a hybrid consensus mechanism that combines elements of Proof-of-Work (PoW) and Proof-of-Stake (PoS). Nasdacoin uses the Scrypt hashing algorithm and is powered by the NSD coin. The company plans on developing a comprehensive ecosystem with a native exchange, wallet, App, and marketplace. They also plan on allowing Nasdacoin holders to transfer their NSD balance to a Visa card that can be used anywhere.

NavCoin is a community-driven digital currency built on an open-source,Proof-of-Stake (PoS) blockchain. The project has an active development community, and places a strong emphasis on their user governance. NavCoin is developing a feature for its PoS consensus mechanism that will allow for cold staking. Users will be able to stake their coins while keeping them offline.
