Seele is developing a blockchain ecosystem that will consist of subnets optimized for different use cases. Seele's Forest Network will have subnets that will operate independently and can interact with each other through cross-chain and cross-domain protocols. Seele has a neural consensus algorithm that was inspired by the inner workings of the human brain. It asynchronously processes and sorts data in a large-scale decentralized environment, using ε-differential agreements to allow all nodes within a network to reach consensus. Compared to existing consensus algorithms, it ensures greater fault-tolerance and is significantly more efficient. Its performance also scales linearly as network size increases, allowing it to be widely adaptable to many different use cases.

NIX is developing a cross-chain protocol with an emphasis on privacy. Their platform will be powered by the NIX coin, and will allow users to exchange supported coins with atomic swaps. Nix hopes to eliminate the need for centralized exchanges with their DEX manager. The platform is based on the Ghost Protocol, which uses elements of Zercoin, and integrates the Tor network to provide enhanced security and privacy for users. NIX allows developers create and attach their own networks to the NIX network as sidechains. The cross-chain platform has a Proof-of-Work consensus mechanism.

AION calls itself a 3rd generation blockchain network, and is primarily focused on connecting blockchain networks. AOIN aims to solve the interoperability issues facing the various blockchains, and be the connecting bridge between them. AION's cross-chain platform has different consensus mechanisms for interchain and on-chain transactions. The on-chain consensus mechanism combines BFT (Byzantine Fault Tolerance), dPoS (Delegated Proof-of-Stake) and a new neural network inspired verification algorithm known as Proof-of-Intelligence.
Interchain transactions are managed by bridges. The bridges has a consensus mechanism that is different from the main AION chain, and each bridge is secured by an individual consensus. The bridge validators will be rewarded by interchain transaction fees.
