Company Description

Crowd Machine is developing a decentralized computing network and DApp development platform. Users will receive Ethereum-based CMCT tokens for contributing their spare processor capacity. Crowd Machine is also developing a decentralized ecosystem designed to facilitate DApp creation. App authors will receive tokens when their shared patterns or applications are used on the network. Their platform currently consists of the following: Crowd AppStudio, a blockchain agnostic zero code application builder, The Crowd Share, a GitHub like repository, the Crowd Virtual Machine (CVM) and the Crowd Computer.

Ankr is developing a decentralized cloud computing network that will utilize the idle cloud resources in data centers and edge devices. Their decentralized marketplace will be powered by the Ethereum-based ANKR token.

The Internet Computer ICP coin is the cryptocurrency that powers the decentralized computing platform created by DFINITY. The network aims to be the world’s first blockchain computing network that runs at the same speed as the internet. The Internet Computer ICP protocol is designed to enable smart contract execution, data storage, and computation on a large scale. The project's software frameworks give developers a revolutionary new way to build tokenized internet services.
The Internet Computer was founded in October 2016 by Dominic Williams, who is the chief scientist of DFINITY. The company raised a total of $121 million from contributors such as Andreessen Horowitz, Polychain Capital, SV Angel, Aspect Ventures, Electric Capital, ZeroEx, Scalar Capital, and Multicoin Capital, as well as several prominent Ethereum supporters. In 2018, over 50,000 early participants received ICP utility tokens in an airdrop. On December 18, 2020, DFINITY launched the alpha mainnet of the Internet Computer. In a final step towards decentralization, on May 10, 2021, DFINITY launched the Internet Computer into the public domain. This major milestone means that the internet now functions as a decentralized global computer — marked by the release of all of the Internet Computer’s source code into the public domain, as well as ICP utility token allowing tens of thousands of community members to govern the Internet Computer network.
