Boid is a decentralized computing platform for research projects. Their goal is to create a decentralized marketplace for computing resources, with a focus on social and research causes. Boid wants to enable anyone to contribute their unused computing resources to research and charitable causes. The platform is built on the EOS protocol and will provide a system of crypto-based incentives for users to contribute.
Boid hopes to encourage blockchain adoption and to allows users to participate in distributed computing projects.

Enigma aims to bring greater utility to blockchain by increasing privacy. The Enigma protocol introduces private smart contracts called "secret contracts"​, that enable computations on encrypted data, and use the blockchain infrastructure for payment distribution and other functions. Enigma is taking on one of the central problems facing blockchain, maintaining data privacy while meeting the rapidly growing scaling requirements of decentralized networks. Enigma tries to solve this problem by introducing a second layer network for computations. By using secret contracts that allow nodes to process data, sensitive proprietary data can be protected, while maintaining the other benefits of storing data on a blockchain.
