Proof of Existence (Poex.io) uses the immutability of the Bitcoin blokchain to allow users to prove authorship and ownership of a digital file. Users can upload a file to their platform and have it validated and timestamped on to the blockchain. This is done by adding a unique identifier to a bitcoin transaction that is generated from the file uploaded.
